The story of our church in the town of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea commenced in the summer of 1902 when the Salvation Army first came to the town to reach out to the community and spread the Good News of salvation.

Today our church stands for the same core values that it always has. We preach the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ, we take decisive action to meet the needs of the poor and disadvantaged in our community, and we provide a range of activities suited to everyone who wishes to come and join with us.
